Thomas Kempkes regularly represents both private individuals and entrepreneurs in detailed tax matters vis-à-vis the tax authorities and before tax courts. The subject of his work is regularly the taxation and post-taxation of complex internationally structured assets, including aspects of criminal tax law.
In the field of inheritance law, he advises private individuals on the structuring of their succession in terms of both civil law and tax law. He advises and represents heirs in disputes and in the settlement of the community of heirs.
In civil law matters, he is particularly appreciated for his understanding of technical contexts in the law of sales and contracts for work and services.
Thomas Kempkes studied at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Bonn and completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne. After five years of self-employment in Wuppertal, he worked for a medium-sized consulting group of lawyers, tax advisors and auditors in Cologne for more than eleven years before joining SNP Schlawien in 2021.
