Construction and architects' law, Liability and insurance law
Otto Jacobs provides advice to and represents big and medium-sized construction companies, project developers and building owners out of court and on an arbitration-board basis and is dedicated to the overall juridical support from the property purchase to the final account. He is particularly appreciated for his practical attitude and his comprehension of difficult correlations between technology and law.
In insurance law matters, big insurance companies contract Otto Jacobs for the handling of difficult proceedings relating to liability law for liberal professions and complicated insurance-law issues. He has comprehensive knowledge and experience particularly in property damage liability law with liability cases of lawyers, notaries public, tax consultants, brokers and experts.
His law studies took Otto Jacobs to Berlin, Lausanne and Münster. Subsequently, he worked as assistant with Prof. Dr. E. W. Böckenförde at the University of Bielefeld. During his training and after the completion of his state examinations, he worked with a big law firm of Dusseldorf, first with a wide range of tasks, and then focused on construction law and property damage liability law. In 1982, he established the law firm Jacobs & Partner, which joined SNP Schlawien with the entire team in 2016.
